Patients attend the day care unit for procedures or treatments involving the administration of cancer drugs, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy and angiogenesis inhibitors, as well as bone marrow aspiration, blood transfusions, intravenous (IV) hydration, intravenous (IV) antibiotics, iron infusion, blood tests and brachytherapy preparation.
